Inaugural Pasadena Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon

The Inaugural Pasadena Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon is scheduled to occur on Sunday, February 19, 2012 and will feature a half marathon distance race that will start and end at the Rose Bowl. The course will wind through historic landmarks and business districts and will feature live entertainment at key spectator spots and at the finish line concert featuring “Sugar Ray.”

Day of Event Schedule
6:30 am          Police Secures Route
7:00 am          Half Marathon Starts
9:15 am           Awards Ceremony
10:00 am       Finish Line Concert
Noon                Finish Line Festival Ends
1:00 pm          Rolling Re-Openings with Final Mile Re-Opening by this time.

Street Closures on Race Day
Beginning at 6:30 am on race day, Pasadena Police will assume control of the streets with restricted vehicular access only through designated intermittent traffic control points and those streets not affected by the route. Residents and visitors to the City should be advised to expect delays when traveling within the City. Please reference the attached street closure map to see when streets will re-open in your neighborhood. The Pasadena Police Department reminds residents to remain patient when driving in the City.

South Lake Avenue held its holiday celebration on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011. Several hundred guests enjoyed free holiday festivities, in-store specials, live music, carolers, holiday characters, a scavenger hunt, $3,000 in prizes and a special appearance by Studio 11 LA’s, Jeff Michael.

South Lake Avenue’s 3rd Annual Food and Wine Festival, Taste of South Lake, was held on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Presented by the South Lake Business Association in partnership with Carmody & Co. and Lockheed Federal Credit Union. Several thousand guests enjoyed offerings from the restaurants of South Lake Avenue, prizes, a special live cooking demo, a beer and wine garden, showcases from other South Lake Avenue businesses and live music performances by Dustbowl Revival, Jessica Fichot and Orgone.
