‘A Taste of South Lake’ Savors Food and Wine

Pasadena Outlook 10/29/09

Restaurants of South Lake Avenue were featured for 2,000 residents tasting pleasure at A Taste of South Lake last weekend, marking the area’s first food and wine festival. The event was presented by KNX 1070’s Melinda Lee, Pacific Sales and the South Lake Business Association.

A live broadcast of “Food News with Melinda Lee” originated at the event, as well as live music on South Lake Avenue, which is one of Pasadena’s premiere destinations to shop and dine.

“We were very, very pleased with the event because we were able to have our community meet our merchants and our restaurants. The majority came from the local Pasadena and Altadena area, but we also had people come from Long Beach, Studio City, Alhambra and Sherman Oaks.

“Now people are asking ‘When’s the next one?’ They want to mark their calendars already; there is a demand for this event. It looks like we have found our signature event for South Lake.

“For the first one, it was flawless. It was perfect. It really helped put us on the map.”
