New On The Block!
Pier 1's Newest Member
Please welcome Carol Adams who is Pier 1's new Store Manager. Carol joined the South Lake Avenue store located at 422 S. Lake on April 1, 2008. She will greet you with a smile and help make design recommendations if you have trouble choosing from their vast store inventory. You are invited to browse through items such as incense, candles, furniture accent pieces, the new summer outdoor wicker patio furniture and a number of items that are part of the current Red Tag Sale. As Carol puts it, "Pier 1 is always changing. You could decorate a whole house with everything in this store. There's fun stuff for everyone!"
Macy's Re-Opens in October 2008
Seismic Retrofit Coming Up!
Shoppers recently took advantage of great bargains during Macy's liquidation sale that ended April 29th. This was one of the first steps to clear out merchandise to prepare the 1947 building for its upcoming seismic retrofit. A huge endeavor indeed, but we are all looking forward to its re-opening in the near future.
