bbad (aka, Breakfast Burritos All Day in Pasadena, CA) – began as a pop-up at the West Hollywood Farmers Market, where it quickly earned a devoted following and regularly sold out. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of its customers, founder and chef Jason Hobbs was able to transform bbad into a brick-and-mortar fast-casual restaurant in the historic Pasadena Hotel & Pool.

Raised in the farm town of Salinas, Jason developed a deep appreciation for fresh, pure ingredients from an early age. His passion for cooking ignited during his college years when, as a cash-strapped student, he experimented with turning humble ingredients into memorable meals.

This philosophy of elevating simple ingredients into extraordinary dishes is at the heart of bbad’s culinary approach. Their menu is crafted with the kind of love and attention you can taste — no shortcuts, no nonsense.

Their braised pork is slow-roasted over 6 hours for a perfectly rendered and tender bite. Their mushroom chorizo is pure, plant-goodness, free from stabilizers, sugars, and soy. Their potatoes are a treat — twice-cooked cubes of punk rock potatoes pavé. Our pavé is a two-day process, made by thinly slicing whole potatoes, layering them overnight, and frying them to crispy perfection. Their chile verde, hot sauce, and chipotle aioli are all crafted from scratch, without added sugar. So when you bite into a bbad burrito, you’re biting into nothing but the best.

Come hang out in the lobby of the hotel with free wifi, and enjoy a latte, cappuccino, horchata, or breakfast burrito. The wifi cafe vibe of the hotel lobby are quite comfortable, and the secluded courtyard is a nice retreat to read a book, or get some work done while you enjoy your food and drinks.
