Urban Plates was created for people who care about what they eat. Menu offerings include familiar foods made with quality ingredients – made from scratch daily. Classic plates start at $11, grass-fed steak, Jidori free range chicken, wild caught albacore tuna, turkey meatloaf and salmon, and are served with a choice of sides and focaccia bread. Hand-tossed entrée salads, sandwiches, pizzettes, soups and braises round out the menu. Guests are advised to save room for dessert. Urban Plates’ in-house pastry chefs bake a flourless chocolate cake, coconut lemon cake, hummingbird cake and a signature mango tart, in addition to a seasonally changing variety of cakes and desserts. Beverages complement the variety of dining options. Selections include probiotic Kombucha on tap, local craft beers, wine and organic house-made juice replenishers in refreshing combinations.

Urban Plates’ friendly and interactive service is featured in an environment that encourages guests to simplify, slow down, and connect in an otherwise complicated, chaotic and disconnected world. Urban Plates is located at 269 S. Lake Avenue, near the corner of E. Del Mar Blvd, and is open for lunch and dinner beginning at 11am daily. Online orders accepted for pick-up and delivery.
